Our Journey as a General and Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Katy
When Dr. Patrick Choyce founded All Pets Animal Clinic in a small strip mall in 1990, he had a vision for how veterinary care should be delivered in Katy, Texas. His philosophy was straightforward: treat every client’s pet with the same care and compassion as his own.
In the early days, this meant being on-call after hours and even bringing sick pets home at night to provide the round-the-clock care they needed. However, Dr. Choyce recognized that this wasn’t a sustainable solution. His goal was to offer comprehensive veterinary care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To achieve this, he knew he needed to build a new, purpose-designed facility from the ground up—and so he did.
In 2011, after three years of construction, we proudly opened the doors to our current location. A year later, after extensive research into best practices across the country, All Pets Animal Hospital transitioned to a full 24-hour clinic, offering both general and emergency care. Over the years, we’ve expanded our services to include rehabilitation and fitness, acupuncture, overnight boarding, and more, making us an essential veterinary clinic in Katy.
As a family-owned practice, we deeply value long-term, meaningful relationships. Many of our clients have been with us for over 25 years, and we take the trust they place in us seriously. When you visit All Pets Animal Hospital, our goal is to make you feel that you and your pet are our top priority—because, at that moment, you are.
Our Medical Philosophy
Supporting our clients and their pets is second nature when your guiding principle is “do the right thing.” Our entire approach is centered on what’s best for your pet—from how we collaborate as a team to how we design our clinic to minimize pets’ anxiety during treatment. By adhering to the highest standards of care and embracing a team-based approach, we deliver the level of care that our clients expect and deserve.
With 24-hour onsite staff, we’re always available to address your pet’s needs. Whether it’s a routine visit or an unexpected issue that arises in the middle of the night, someone who knows your pet and has access to their medical records will be there to help. If your pet needs to stay overnight, the nighttime veterinarian will ensure that the daytime doctor is fully briefed on any developments, so you’ll never have to worry about being transferred to an unfamiliar after-hours clinic.
Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the accreditations we’ve earned. We are proud to uphold the rigorous standards required for American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation. Additionally, we are Fear-Free accredited, Cat-Friendly Practice certified, and a Level II Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) certified facility.
